Yukon Outfitting area # 6. Located in the Northeastern Yukon along the border of the N.W.T. The Outfitting concession is almost 4000 square miles of completely isolated, rugged, and scenic mountains. The two mountain ranges in the concession are the Mackenzie and the Wernecke mountains. This area takes in the headwaters of the Bonnet Plume, Snake, Stewart, Nadaleen, and Rackla Rivers. This is a very unique part of North America as it is true wilderness. There are absolutely no roads, no settlements, little or no mining activity, and no resident hunting pressure. With only thirty hunters taken out in such a vast area each fall, most of the animals rarely see a human being. See topo maps # 106 C and 106 B.
